Our August Monthly Meal Plan (and FREE Printable)

Phew, how is it already August?! Our sweet baby girl arrived last month, so our meal planning was a little all over the place. To be completely honest, it still is, but I did come up with a skeleton plan for the month to help us through! I shared what we prepped for the freezer before our little one arrived, and we’ll be using some of those meals to help us through the dinner time rush this month. I’m sharing our monthly meal plan, and I’ve included a FREE printable if you scroll to the bottom… Hope it gives you some inspiration for your own meal plan!

Breakfast is pretty much the same each week… Routine seems to be a big help with breakfast around here!

  • Monday: Oatmeal
  • Tuesday: Scrambled Eggs (with toast or hash browns)
  • Wednesday: Homemade Granola with Yogurt
  • Thursday: Oatmeal
  • Friday: Muffins
  • Saturday: Cereal
  • Sunday: Smoothies and Granola

Lunches are a little less routine, but we’ve been eating a LOT of sandwiches lately… We usually have sliced cucumbers and fresh fruit on the side, but sometimes we mix it up and have quesadillas or snack lunches (crackers, cheese, fresh fruit and veggies, popcorn, whatever we can pull together quick).

Mmmmkay, let’s get to this month’s dinner plan:

  1. Grilled Hamburgers
  2. Leftovers (Clean Out the Fridge!)
  3. Grilled Chicken Salad
  4. Chicken Enchiladas (Freezer Meal)
  5. Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

While we do plan a full month ahead of time, we do change things around as needed (and we’ll probably do plenty of that with a newborn in the house, school starting up again and the ever-changing schedules!). And if we have leftovers or takeout, we’ll save the planned meal for a different night.

Here’s our FREE meal planning printable if you want to plan meals for the whole month too, or use our meal planning inserts to keep your meal plan handy when you’re on the go!
